2021 Ford Edge: A Trim Comparison

2021 Ford Edge

The 2021 Ford Edge is designed for those who want something between the Escape and the Explorer. With room for five passengers, this mid-size, two-row crossover offers plenty of space in the cabin for a family or a weekend warrior just looking to hang out with a few friends. We’re comparing each of the trims to figure out what the Ford Edge really has going for it.

Deciding on a 2021 Ford Edge

The 2021 Ford Edge has four trims, that are all spacious, but also offers different engine options and infotainment systems. Which one is right for you?

SE

The 2021 Ford Edge begins its trim lineup with the SE, which starts at $31,250. It has enough seating for five passengers, which is ideal for families. The SE uses a 250-horsepower, 2.0L EcoBoost engine that gets up to 21 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.

The interior is perfect for long road trips or Sunday trips to the grocery store. It comes with a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa integration, six-speaker audio, and satellite radio. It also comes with four USB ports and remote keyless entry. Dual-zone climate control comes standard as well.

Even the Ford Co-Pilot360 safety package is standard with the base model. Rear parking sensors, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert and lane departure warning are among the featured included in this package.

SEL

The SEL trim starts at $34,690. It comes with the same 2.0L EcoBoost engine as the SE. On the inside, the SEL adds a few features that make this trim level much more enjoyable to drive. One of the main additions are the synthetic leather upholstery, and the heated and power-adjustable front seats. Optional features include a navigation system, panoramic sunroof, and adaptive cruise control.

ST-Line

The ST-Line starts at $38,440 with front-wheel drive or you can get all-wheel-drive for $40,435. This version of the Edge features restyled front and rear bumpers, along with 20-inch wheels and red interior accents. Wireless device charging and remote start are included as well.

Titanium

The Titanium is the next trim, and it starts at $38,440. If the SEL doesn’t have enough convenience for you, the Titanium is your dream come true. It adds a superior 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system and some key features for comfort such as genuine leather seats, a heated steering wheel, a hands-free power liftgate, and wireless device charging.

ST

Lastly, the ST trim is what you crave if power is your main concern. It starts at $43,100 and comes with an upgraded engine. The 2.7L V6 EcoBoost engine is capable of 335 horsepower as well as 380 lb.-ft. of torque. Keep in mind that this will drop your fuel economy to an estimated 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. In addition to the new motor, you’ll also get standard intelligent all-wheel-drive with the ST trim.

The seating in the ST trim also changes from leather to leather-trimmed with Miko suede inserts. In addition to this, the outside adds a bit of flair with a gloss black-painted mesh grille with ST logo and Bi-LED Low and High beam Headlamps.
