2.0i

The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek 2.0i focuses on affordability, so it isn’t a surprise that this trim is just $22,248. It’s equipped with a 2.0-liter DOHC engine that’s capable of 152-horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque. This allows drivers to tow a maximum of 1,500 pounds, ideal for small trailers. With this engine, the 2.0i Crosstrek gets up to 23 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. All trims feature Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, so drivers have maximum control.

Subaru lets you go where your heart wants, including off-road. For this reason, the 2.0i Crosstrek comes with 8.7-inches of ground clearance and raised roof rails for extra storage. This trim also comes with STARLINK Multimedia with 6.5-inch touchscreen, four-speaker stereo, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Additionally, there is automatic climate control.

Crosstrek Hybrid

The 2021 Crosstrek Hybrid trim is a plug-in hybrid with a 148-horsepower hybrid powertrain, an automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive. We have a helpful explainer of the different types of hybrid cars that seem confusing to you. Essentially, this plug-in hybrid Crosstrek has a battery that needs to be plugged in to charge up to its full potential. When fully charged, the Crosstrek Hybrid can drive up to 17 miles of electric-only range that is free from emissions!

After that, the gas engine kicks in and the Crosstrek Hybrid operates like a more traditional battery electric vehicle like the Toyota Prius. It offers some of the benefits of a fully electric vehicle (no emissions or gasoline) with some of the benefits of a traditional gas engine (longer range). It’s also important to note that this is one of the few hybrid crossovers on the market available with an AWD powertrain standard. While operating on fuel, the Crosstrek earns a fuel economy of about 35 mpg combined.

In most respects, the hybrid Crosstrek has pretty much the same standard features as the Crosstrek 2.0i Limited. The starting MSRP is $35,345.
