5 Best Cars of 2017
This year was a fantastic year to be a car enthusiast. Manufacturers proved that there’s something for everyone, from those looking for a quality vehicle on a budget to someone that wants a powerful statement-making engine. While it was hard to narrow down, we’ve found five vehicles that really stand out from the 2017 crowd.
2017 Honda Accord
The Honda Accord has been through a host of changes in the last few years, but the 2017 model seems to have struck gold. It’s fun to drive thanks to the standard 2.4-liter engine that’s capable of 189 horsepower. It also comes with a good media package. The EX even features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto so you can sync your phone. The infotainment system is quick and reactive, which is ideal since it lacks buttons you may have found in previous models. The 2017 Honda Accord has a starting MSRP of $23,330.
2017 Dodge Charger SRT/SRT Hellcat
Nothing blew us away more than the 2017 Dodge Charger SRT/SRT Hellcat. It has a hefty starting price of $52,240, but it’s worth every dime. It comes with a powerful 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 engine that boasts 485 horsepower. To match this powerful engine, the charger has an adaptive suspension with auto, sport, and track modes. On the inside, the driver console allows you to tune engine output and damper effectiveness. Using the transmission shifters will allow you to get the most out of your Hellcat.
2017 Toyota Yaris iA
Surprisingly, the Toyota Yaris iA made some huge transformations and became one of the best cars on the market. It scored five out of five stars from Car and Driver because it is small, fuel-efficient, and offers good technology for its price point. Because it comes equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, the Yaris achieves an estimated 30 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway. Inside, it has a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system that’s capable of Bluetooth connectivity. Not bad for a vehicle that has a starting MSRP of $16,835.
2017 Mazda 6
The Mazda 6 is the perfect sedan for someone who is a speedster at heart but can’t afford an Aston Martin. Even though this car starts at around $22,820, it has more than enough power to make anyone happy. The 2017 Mazda 6 has a 2.5-liter engine that can produce 184-horsepower, has a top speed of 135 mph, and can go from 0 to 60 in just 7.3 seconds.
2017 Chevrolet Malibu
There’s a reason the Chevrolet Malibu has been a consumer favorite for many years. It’s roomy, comfortable, and great for a small family. What’s new for the 2017 model is the increased legroom, not to mention the more stylized overall design. It uses a 1.5-liter engine that’s capable of 160 horsepower, but drivers always have the option to upgrade to the 2.0- or 2.5-liter engine for more power. The 2017 Chevrolet Malibu has a starting MSRP of $22,555.
