The 2024 Chevrolet Colorado returns after a huge overhaul last year. Chevy truck fans have a lot to be excited about, as the new Colorado offers optimized performance on the road and off. This new model is one of the best compact trucks of the year, as you’ll see in this trim comparison.
Choosing a Colorado Trim at Your Price
Customers will have five different Chevy Colorado trim options to choose from in 2024. Each trim is specially tailored to your needs, particularly regarding towing and offroad capability. Here’s what buyers can expect at each price point.
WT
The first trim is the 2024 Chevrolet Colorado WT. It starts at $29,500 but goes up depending on your choice of powertrain, as well as additional packages and standalone options.
To start with, you’ll get a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder with 237 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque. Otherwise, you can opt-in for a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder with 310 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. Either engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel-drive is standard but four-wheel-drive is available.
Its standard features include an 11.3-inch touch screen, an 8-inch digital gauge cluster, two USB ports, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Listen to higher-quality satellite radio on a six-speaker audio system. For optimum comfort, automatic climate control comes standard. Safety features include a rearview camera, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, forward automatic emergency braking, and a Teen Driver monitoring system as well.
Previously only available at an additional cost, the Colorado now comes standard with many safety features. The standard driver-assistance suite includes forward collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and a teen driver monitoring system, among other things.
Packages
The WT Convenience package is one of the most affordable packages on the list that includes a sliding rear window, a remote lock tailgate and cruise control. The WT Convenience package II adds eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and a EZ-Lift and Lower tailgate.
LT
The 2024 Chevrolet Colorado LT is a trim level that might appeal to more city-oriented drivers starting at $31,900. The LT trim gains a front center console, proximity keyless entry, a rear USB port, a remote locking tailgate, and alloy wheels.
Packages
The Chevrolet Colorado LT offers the same standard engine as the WT trim, but you can get the 310-horsepower option with the Convenience Package II. That package also gives you additional features like remote start, wireless device charging, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The first LT Convenience Package adds dual-zone automatic climate control, a rear sliding window, cruise control, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, an EZ-Lift and Lower tailgate, and LED foglights.
The Convenience Package III offers the most bang for your buck. It offers upgrades like synthetic leather upholstery, 18-inch wheels, and LED headlights. On the inside, you’ll get two household-style power outlets, a rear center armrest, two additional USB ports, and a heated steering wheel. As for safety features, the package includes rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, reverse automatic emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring.
Trail Boss
The 2024 Chevrolet Colorado Trailboss is the next trim level, starting at $37,300. It offers drivers superior off-road and towing capability thanks to the standard 310-horsepower engine. Off-road suspension, increased vehicle lift, 18-inch wheels, and all-terrain tires are other significant differences with this trim. The two-speed transfer case, automatic locking rear differential, and hill descent control also improve off-road performance.
It should also be noted that you lose proximity keyless entry at this trim level.
ZR1
The ZR1 is the first of the top-of-the-line models offering luxury and performance upgrades. Starting at $40,200, this trim drops the vehicle lift in the Trail Boss but gives you back proximity keyless entry. Heated side mirrors, LED headlights, and red recovery hooks come standard.
Upgrades inside include rear USB ports and two household-style power outlets. Seats feature synthetic leather and cloth upholstery. And, again, the 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine with 310 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque comes standard.
Packages
The Convenience Package III upgrades your seats to genuine leather, with ventilation in the front. The driver’s seat features memory settings and a convenient rear center console. Other features include rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and reverse automatic emergency braking.
ZR2
The 2024 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 is the most expensive trim, starting at $46,800. This trim option provides you with a more off-road-friendly experience. The powertrain features a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder with 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque.
Some of the add-ons for this trim include 33-inch all-terrain tires, skid plates, on-demand front and rear locking differentials, and special shocks. For those looking to hook up a trailer, a trailer hitch, and brake controller are all gained with this trim.
Other upgrades featured in the ZR2 are an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, and dual-zone climate control. It’s also worth noting the ZR2 comes with a power tailgate and spray-on bed liner.
ZR2 Bison
The all-new 2024 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison adds to the ruggedness of the vehicle with steel plates and rocker protectors. It boasts 35-inch tires and 12.2 inches of ground clearance. And lastly, there’s a heavy-duty winch-capable located on the front bumper. Get the ZR2 Bison starting at $58,500.
