The Toyota Tundra returns for 2023! Improving upon the 2022 model, you’ll get powerful engine options, a comfortable new interior, a state-of-the-art infotainment system, and much more. If you are looking for a truck for both work and play, the Toyota Tundra may be just the pickup for you.
2023 Toyota Tundra Trim Options
When it comes to the 2023 Toyota Tundra, you have six different trim options to choose from: the SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro, and Capstone. Additionally, you’ll have the option between a twin-turbo gas powertrain or a twin-turbo electric motor. When properly equipped, the Tundra can 12,000 pounds and haul up to 1,940. SR
The 2023 Toyota Tundra SR is the base-level trim of the new Tundra that offers an impressive array of standard features such as its user-friendly 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. On top of this, you get a six-speaker stereo, satellite radio, and smartphone integration features: Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include a Wi-Fi hotspot, USB ports, and an automatic climate control system. There’s also a push-button start ignition and sliding rear window.
In the way of safety features in the base trim, Toyota doesn’t hold back much. You’ll get the industry-standard rearview camera, but you’ll also get forward automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning and pedestrian detection. Furthermore, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, and lane tracing assist. On top of this, you’ll get adaptive cruise control and traffic sign recognition. All these features come standard as part of the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 suite.
The standard engine with the SR, and the other trim levels below, is a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine that generates 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque.
It’s worth noting that the SR trim is only available with the double cab. Get the SR starting at $36,965.
SR5
The SR5 doesn’t offer much in the way of additional standard features but what you will get with this trim is more options. One option is to opt for the CrewMax cab with a nine-speaker stereo and power-retractable rear window.
You can also add rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitoring and surround-view parking camera system with the SR5 convenience package.
The SR5 starts at $42,470.
Limited
The Limited ramps up the luxury with features like synthetic leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats. The infotainment screen is updated to a 14-inch model and you’ll get additional USB ports as well. Further standard safety features include blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert.
The optional Limited PVM package adds a surround-view parking camera, while the Limited Power Package adds an in-bed power outlet and wireless device charging. This model comes in the double cab or CrewMax cab. With that said, it all starts at $48,565 for the gas version or $54,015 for the hybrid.
The hybrid model features the same gas engine in the gas models but is paired with an electric motor that provides a combined horsepower of 437, as well as 583 lb-ft of torque.
Platinum
The Platinum trim offers the pinnacle of pickup luxury with leather seats, a panoramic moonroof, heated and ventilated rear seats, a 12-speaker JBL audio system. Wireless device charging eliminates the need for you to pack your charging cables. The instrument cluster is upgraded to a 12.3-inch digital gauge. The truck bed features lighting and a power outlet, making this model ideal as a work truck. Finally, there’s a standard surround-view parking camera with this trim.
As an option, you can get the Advanced Package with heads-up display and load-leveling air suspension.
The Tundra Platinum model starts at $58,775 or $62,105 for the hybrid trim. The CrewMax cab is the only option for this trim level.
1794 Edition
The 1794 Edition offers almost everything you’ll get in the Platinum trim but along with unique styling accents and material upgrades. It is also only available with a Crew cab. Get it starting at $59,460.
TRD Pro
The TRD Pro trim is for those who are looking for fun. It’s made for the off-road with special suspension, Fox shocks, a high-strength fuel tank and locking rear differential. Other features include crawl control and an off-road camera.
Get the TRD Pro starting at $68,520. It is available exclusively with the Crew Cab body with 5-foot-6-inch bed. It comes equipped with a V6 hybrid powertrain and four-wheel drive and includes nearly all of the Premium trims features. It also has a special grille with an integrated light bar and synthetic leather upholstery with an exclusive camouflage pattern.
Capstone
The last option is the Capstone trim which starts at $75,245. It is available exclusively as a Crew Cab and has a V6 hybrid powertrain and four-wheel-drive. Like the TRD Pro, it includes everything in the Platinum trim, along with a few extras. In this case, the extras are a head-up display, 22-inch wheels, and power-retractable running boards.
