How Much Smaller is the new Toyota Land Cruiser?

The new Toyota Land Cruiser comes in a more compact design. It has a narrow body and is not as large as the 2021 model. However, it’s not the smallest off-road Toyota on the market either. It’s said to be bigger than the 4Runner and affords more passenger space than that model as well. Asd for it’s wheelbase, it measure 112.2-inch wheelbase, comparable to the Lexus LX600.

How Much Will It Cost?

While the pricing for the discontinued 2021 version of the Land Cruiser came at a minimum of $87,030, the new model will be over $30K less than that. According to Toyota, although the pricing is not set in stone, the new Land Cruiser will be in $50K range.

What Engine Will the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Have?

All Land Cruiser models will be equipped with a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid iForce Max powertrain, paired with eight-speed transmission. This will be the same engine featured in the Tacoma TRD Pro. The powertrain generates 326 horsepower. That means there will be no V8 this year. But at the same time, that means a superior fuel economy.

What Off-Road Features Will Come Standard?

The new Land Cruisers will have push-button-lock rear differentials, a Crawl Control system, and Downhill Assist Control. Its suspension system will be very similar to what came in the 2021 model.

What Trims Will Be Available?

The base 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser will be called the 1958. This version will feature 245/70R-18 32-inch tires and fixed anti-roll bars. Standard features will include cloth upholstery, a heated steering wheel, heated seats and an 8-inch touchscreen. Additionally, it will feature retro-style round LED headlights that set it apart.

By comparison, the Land Cruiser and First Edition models come with 265/70R-18 33-inch tires. These tires are more rugged with a deeper tread. They’ll have a removable front anti-roll bar and a Multi-Terrain Select system. The infotainment system features a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 10-speaker stereo. Lastly, the LED headlights feature a more modern, rectangular design.

When Will the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Hit the Market?

The exact date of release is not yet known. However, it is said to launch in Spring of 2024, which means we have a bit of waiting to do before we can speak to its performance, reliability and safety.
